Urban fossils of Valencia (Spain)

It has been a pleasure to take part in the course organized by "Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo" in Valencia (Spain). This course is targeted at elementary school teachers willing to learn new, innovative teaching tools.
We discovered urban fossils at several locations of "Ciutat Vella", Valencia's historic centre. Fossil remains are very common on pavement stones and walls of old buildings.
Urban fossils are a very useful teaching resource. It can encourage children to learn about ancient organisms, the Geological context and even Architecture.
